Elite: Dangerous Trading Builds

• These builds will have a reasonable amount of hit points and speed. We strongly recommend a shield, booster(s), good thrusters, and decent distributor, for protection from bumping the station, and from failed/submitted interdictions. If in Open you need enough strength and speed to survive player interdictions.
• Use a Prismatic shield if you have them unlocked, and size up the power plant if needed (keep it A-rated).
• Engineering the FSD (Increased Range + Mass Manager) is the biggest range increase you can get.
• Add a Guardian FSD Booster if you would like more range, at the expense of cargo space.
• Add a fuel scoop if you want to travel very far, at the expense of cargo space.
• Add a docking computer and supercruise assist if you want them, at the expense of a little cargo space.
• Weapons are not recommended. You will be outclassed by any dedicated combat ship, and weapons will reduce your jump range.
• Use the Supercruise Overcharge function of the SCO FSDs to move more quickly in-system, by pressing the Boost button to turn it on or off.
